i made the mistake of scrolling while at lunch.

to answer the post though, it depends on the project. if it's something that calls for a video chick, pop her/him in there. one thing i've noticed though is that they tend to draw away from the architecture if they are too much. for example, i've seen quite a few people throw in model types, actresses, pornstars, or pamela andreson, and half the time they distract you from whats going on with the architecture. especially so if you make them stand out through fucked up scaling, or simply bad arrangment choice.

i may be wrong though, it may sell the image. i've heard of clients going apeshit over the "hot ass chick in my future living room," paying zero attention to the fucked up design she's parading around half naked in.

i usually stick with average people though, as they don't garner as much attention, and it forces the focus on the real issue at hand while still providing a feel for the future environment.

yeah, depends on the clients. I've had someone request a 'hot chick' to help sell it (most likely to a board of old men).

it's difficult to make it look good and you don't see many interior renderings where it actually makes the image look better.

skip the models and actresses, imho, just seems silly to even try that

The Italians seem to have perfected what is reasonable sexual presence within an architectural presentation. The ads in magazines like Domus, Interni, Abitare, etc. very frequently have beautiful, sophisticated looking women without distracting you from equally beautiful design. Not many Bitches n' Hoes from what I've seen. I may be completely wrong also, due to my insular reading.
