The phrase "have a good day" never meant a thing to me until one of the happiest women I have ever met said something really interesting.
She said she did whatever she could to make each day good because it added up to a great life. I never thought of it that way. Now when anyone says "have a good day," I have a stupid grin on my face.
This goes to J.
What they failed to mention @ MATech was that you've got a lot of chances to 'get out' of there. It might take you 4 years, it might take 6, Heyll, I knew @ least 2 guys that were ther for 10 yrs! (not sure if they graduated, but hey, they didn't care..did you ever run into a guy called "Big Red'?)
What was the question?
Oh yeah, the answer is: 'Stickwithitedness'. Compliments of 'The Simpsons.'
After reading the debt thread, I can picture some students I knew in school that put stuff on credit cards knowing that soon they would have a fancy job and be able to pay it all off.
loving the ugly women didn't help poor ole rob jhonson out much. story goes that he always picked out the ugliest woman out at the club he was playing at but was murdered by the irate husband of his last fling...
but anyway, beautiful women are not all devoted to handsome men.
"yeah, sing with me, sing for the year, sing for the laughter, sing for the tear, sing with me, if it's just for today, maybe tomorrow, the good lord will take you away. dream on, dream on, dream on, dream until your dreams come true."

jump- i think it is something which can be both agreed and argued upon depending on the person/person involved. and ofcourse i agree, not all beautiful women are devoted to handsome men. but it sure does make a lot of sense to SAY 'love someone who is less attractive than you are'. but in reality one would`nt need a reason to fall in love. right?

The best advice you have ever received
God loves the pugilist.

"Marry in haste ... repent in leisure" -- my Grandpa
Applies to any decision you must make about any relationship.
Not the best advise I ever received, but a comment a construction friend used to always spout, when he didn't agree with you.
Most Opinions are like assholes, and just like most assholes, most opinions are full of _ _ i t.
"Get over it"
absolutely best advice, but hardest to hear or follow
frees you up from a lot of shit though.

I have started writing in a journal every morning. It really seems to clear up my mind for the day.

In other words, wishing aint shit.

life for today, you may not wake up tomorrow

Admittedly very cheesy, but true nonetheless. Credited to a high school buddy, Paul:

"love someone who is less attractive than you are"- overheard from a conversation. It may not be the best, but sure does make a lot of sense.
Live within your means.
