a staff of him asked,
"why are you making models for a part that would eventually be buried?"
a architect said,
"well i visited egypt, greece, and italy, and there,
i was fascinated by the ruins of buildings. i am studying how
my buildings would reveal as ruins..."
this statement blew the mind of a staff.

Does anybody know other interesting stories (behind the
scenes of profession) related to famous architects?
after a late night argument at pj's pad, mies called the cab and they never spoke afterwards.
as I understand it, you are supposed to design everything on a napkin. Ya ever try drawing on a napkin? Ridic-lis.
napkins aren't so bad, you just have to have a pen which drains, not a ballpoint.
I carry 3x5 index cards and a mini set of colored pencils in my purse.
