I currently looking for ways to re-think / remix the civic plaza for the cities of today....and in the meantime looking for a way to show city officials that other cities are doing it...very well.
What is the current benchmark?
My list:
Millenium Park in Chicago,
Federation Square in Melbourne
Parque Diagonal in Barcelona
would be the latest (and ok...trendiest) civic plazas/parks.
What else???

Philadelphia's decree to go all wireless is very civic and more like cyberplaza. We'll just have to wait and see if and how it works or not.
