I have a BA in architecture from accredited school and am interested in studying digital design and parametric architecture. I graduated in 08 and could not find a job, ended up doing something besides architecture just to make ends meet. My architecture resume stops at 2007, I really don't know who to ask for letters of recommendation since I have been out of college for awhile and have not worked in the field recently. Also my last studio did not go so well and dragged down my GPA , though I think I have a chance with having a strong portfolio. What would you do, who else can I get 3 recommendation letters from. I am thinking of sending a link to my portfolio to some old professors but I really don't think they will even remember me it is been so long!
Right type of networking can probably get me to where I want to be. I am interested in applying to Pratt and they are connected to gsapp labs, Just really looking to get into hub of digital design work in NYC, I find that this is one way to do it. I've taught myself some grasshopper but rather take classes, also want to do some research in material and technology. The school that I went to for BA didn't focus on digital as some do now. Maybe 2005 I was doing arrays in max trying to come up with paneling forms, it is what I want to pursue and now schools have extensive classes and easier access to cad/cams.

How do you anticipate your situation changing after an MS?
