They seem to be offering an online Barch, March and doctorates. I'm confused and this seems fishy. They do have info about accreditation but looking closer it's harder to tell if they are accredited or just stating the requirements not that they actually meet them. Any way to check with NAAB?
Academy of Art is kinda fishy to me. I came across the name a few years ago when I was researching graphic design schools, and did a bit of research just to verify my thoughts. Turns out it is somehow a university but its reputation isn't so good. It's more like a training program made into a university. A few years ago some students argued for a refund because they didn't think the school's teaching was worthy.
The information they have on accreditation is very suspect. It shows a lot of information without saying anything. Like "these are all the requirement for us to be accreditated but never coming out and saying that they meet those requirments

1st law of advertising. If they don't say it isn't.
I've met a few students from the program and the school basically throws these students into the deep end from the get go. The students that I've met were asking for tutoring which kind of reveal the lack of instructions in the program. That's my two cents.
Is this a real school?
My nephew showed me this thinking he could get a Barch degree all online these days.

Apparently they are. Also, tuition is 30k per year.

It's listed in NAAB

Thanks, Non. I guess that's what I was looking for. The place still gives me a bad vibe though. Not sure why.
Agree, it's got a sketchy vibe... and not the good kind. Imagine charging american-level tuition to non-americans for an online degree?

Look up SCAD because this sounds a lot like the bs that went on there.
