In preparation for my portfolio, the school does not specify page size and asks that applicants format their portfolio for viewing on a computer screen as it will be reviewed digitally. It must not exceed 15 MB. What is the best resolution and page size for a given document?

300DPI, standard letter, landscape orientation.

Make sure you use tasteful animations/effects between pages and try not to overdue the sweet Kenny-G jazz background ambiance music.

Devil's advocate: images on a monitor at 100% are 72 PPI. Monitors generally only get so large. Do the math.

300DPI! isn't it too much? Half of that(150DPI) would be sufficient for Monitors. The 15MB limit is always difficult to maintain at 300DPI

You can effectively get away with 150-180 dpi

consider that moire patterns show up for patterns, diagonals & curves when you target 150 or 72

an image downgraded from 200 or higher will present better on a 72 screen than an image produced at 72

always test your output for the intended use/media
