I am currently located in Orlando and had a job offer for a firm with an office in Austin. I am expected to work remotely and move to TX after a year. Even after moving I am not expected to report in person as often (1x/week?). As this is a long-term commitment, I have to consider a few things:
- the usual stats ($$$, crime, family etc)
- future and growth of both cities (which one is better for an architect to thrive- quality of projects etc. )
- more intellectually stimulating environment, access to global culture / diversity
- stability long term
Take note that I’m already on my early 40’s, having worked on different cities and countries, I’m looking into a more permanent situation. Thanks in advance.
