Entry Level - ADU firms

hiall

Would an entry-level designer gain as much experience doing ADU as someone doing residential or commercial work?

as commercial no...different issues & different code

as residential, sure

it's sort of niche tho...set expectations accordingly...not sure i'd limit myself to just adu's as a young arch

Negative - last year, I worked on a project that was a 7 story multifamily with an ADU in the back. The ADU is a very small portion of what you will need to do.

7-story multifamily = commercial code
