Hello,

I am preparing my application for M.Arch 1 and MLA 1 programs for entry in fall 2020. Since I am from a non-design background, I wanted to hear your thoughts on my chances based on the information below and any suggestions in the narrowed down school list. Are there any schools I should include that I haven't?

24 / F / International

Undergraduate BA Highest Honors (Social science/humanities subjects)/ Liberal Arts College in the US

GPA 3.91 GRE V 160, Q 157, W 5.5

Selected work experience:

- Participated in two design and build programs (one of which won an AIA award)

- Team member for an international design competition (won first place in our category)

- Worked at a museum for a year in a curatorial capacity

- Did an intensive summer design course

- Other social science research-intensive projects funded by competitive grants

I also have some experience with drawing, printmaking, and GIS.

Portfolio: In progress, will post it when I have a draft.

I am interested in vernacular architecture and postcolonial cities. I also hope to study in an environment that encourages independent research.

Narrowed Down Schools:

MLA 1: GSD, UPenn, RISD, Cornell, UTAustin

M.Arch 1: GSD, UPenn, RISD, Cornell, UTAustin, Yale, MIT, Princeton

Thank you in advance!
