SCI-Arc B.Arch Portfolio Help?

BeachBummer

Hello I am a high school student that is planning to apply to SCI-Arch this January. I recently went to SCI-Arc's DID summer program for high school students, so I have a bit of a "preference" when I apply. However, I need help building my portfolio. I can't find too many examples of portfolios for B.Arch and I am having trouble making the actual portfolio, not the projects. I have seen that M.Arch portfolios have these "essay" like things and I don't know if I need to do that. The SCI-Arc website doesn't explain this at all and my instructors at the DID program didn't mention one when we have to apply. So far the programs I am using are: SketchUp, SolidWorks, Rhino 3D,and Scultpris. Do you guys have any other CAD/Art programs I should use (for free please)? Any tips for my portfolio?

What about pens, pencils and physical hand-made models?

Sci-arc's terribly easy to get in. This should be a piece of cake.

Oh and also, having a rich dad helps.
