With this semester coming to an end, I am planning to apply for the B.Arch program at the University of Waterloo. While I am not concerned about my marks and fairly confident in my portfolio, I have not been keeping a sketchbook because I like to be spontaneous with my artistic work and rarely do much planning. UW's website says that they encourage me to bring a sketchbook as an evidence of my creative process. Is not bringing one to the interview going to hurt my chances at admission?
Also be prepared to sketch ideas live on the spot in front of the review panel. I should know, I do interviews for 3 years.
