Apps are due quite soon and I was hoping I could get a few tips on my portfolio. As stated above I have no design background. I will be applying to March 1 programs.
For not having a design background, this is not bad at all. It is decently well composed, if a little bit static, but a good backbone to build off of. I'd introduce color and start playing around with the font a little bit (maybe use the bold version of the font in places you want to bring to the front). This would get you into MArch 1 programs.
To add to theirs, I'm not overly keen on the table of contents displaying on the left side of a layout. Not sure if that is just something your host is doing, or if that is intentional.
Portfolio Review - No Design Background
Hi all,
Apps are due quite soon and I was hoping I could get a few tips on my portfolio. As stated above I have no design background. I will be applying to March 1 programs.

Thanks all.

I agree with Josh... I've seen worse portfolios from folks who had arch backgrounds.
I'd try and work on the front end of the document some more. That title page, table of content, and statement is weak.

How would all feel if I simply omitted to table of contents? I'm not entirely sure what purpose it serves.
If you want to spice it up with more futuristic stuff, I suggest rendering some 360 panoramas and making a tour like this

There are at least two universities, one in Italy, one in Canada, who actually use tours from 360 panos in the curriculum.
Just a suggestion, trying to help
