"professional contributions" personal statement

cemoore

One of the graduate schools i'm applying to asks you to describe your "most substantial professional contribution" in the M.Arch personal statement. I don't have any professional architectural experience, but I'd like to think there's something of value I can discuss. I held an unrelated job throughout my undergrad, participated in a studio that designed proposals for an actual project and did an architectural thesis project, but are these too weak to try and spin as "professional" contributions?

Based on 20 seconds of google searching, I'm guessing UT Austin? If this is the case, I read it as an "and/or" statement, if this doesn't apply to you do the "or."

Tell them you're not Richard Balkins from Astoria. That in itself is a great contribution.
