I'm an international Masters student planning to apply to US architecture PhD programs. I went to a top school in my country and have good grades, considerable assistantship experience. I'd like to do my PhD in Architectural Technology, Building Design or Architectural Engineering.
- What are top schools in the US in these areas?
- What GRE score do I need to be competitive in these schools?
- I've done some research of my own, of course. I have found out that Harvard, MIT, Princeton and Berkeley have good programs that might be suitable for me. But I can't find any programs in New York. Can you recommend some good schools in NY that offer these types of programs?

PhD in architecture programs are rare because they are of little value....
^Depends on how one defines value
Cornell and Columbia. One of my students just got admitted to Cornell's program.
Good programs, since the op couldn't find any in NY I wasn't inclined to be very helpful
^ Yes, if one can't do some basic research, maybe the PhD isn't the best option...
