How important is name recognition when choosing an architecture school?

It's time for me to choose where I want to go to college for architecture, and I've narrowed it down to two schools: the Illinois Institute of Technology and Columbia University. I would consider Columbia the more "fun" option whereas IIT is definitely cheaper -- it would cost the same amount of money for me to spend 6 years at IIT to earn a BArch and a MAS in Construction Engineering and Planning as it would take for me to spend 4 years at Columbia to get a BA in architecture. I was wondering if attending Columbia, which I'd say is much more widely known than IIT, would give me some sort of edge in the architectural profession?
