Submitting Portfolio in Slide Room

ccarry

A few of the grad schools I am applying to (Parsons, RISD, SCI- ARC) require an online submittal of your portfolio via slide room. Each of these schools say in the description of admissions requirements that a perspective student should prepare a sequence of images uploaded to slide room. A few of these schools also say things on the line of, Do not combine images in a prepared presentation or slideshow of any type (e.g., PowerPoint or Keynote).  Others are not so clear. That makes it seem like it should only be the images of work themselves. No formatting or text describing the projects.

That doesn't seem to make a lot of sense because I have gone to portfolio critiques with these schools and each of them stressed the importance of showing process over finished work.

Does anyone have any feedback about Slide room or similar situations?

If your process images can't explain process without the use of verbal narratives then you've failed at process.

Also, no one reads portfolios. There are thousands of saps writing long-ass descriptions no one ever reads. Save yourself the trouble.
