What is the best major to combine with Architectural studies in design?
Some subjects i thought of include the following:
"architectural studies in art, history and critisizm", international relations,
computer science, astronomy or astrophysics, economics, material science, Mathematical Applications in Economics and Finance Specialist (Science Program), math, molecular genetics, political science, pshycology, physics, urban studies or any other subject you can think of...
I was a dual major as an undergraduate. Unless you have a compelling reason to split your studies, I would cautiously discourage it. I found it took time away from things I was really, deeply interested in, made an already difficult architecture degree even harder, and contributed to a lot of unnecessary stress.
That said, if you want to study architecture as it relates to something else--urban studies, computer science, materials science, etc.--you could dual major or simply major in that field and then take your M.Arch after that. I don't think you should let us recommend what you should major in, though. It needs to be driven by your own interests.
For what it's worth, I chased an art history minor while in undergrad but abandoned it to take urban design and business electives. Best decision I ever made.
The bolded ones are bullshit. Hard sciences and a solid architecture education? Clearly don't know enough to even consider those as viable options.
As suggested some weeks ago to someone else, computer science. Urban design, business, finance, something that's related or practical or generic enough to spin off later should this undergraduate experiment lead nowhere but a mandatory graduate degree.
Not sure why you'd ever pick a major that you weren't 'really, deeply interested in' - both my girl and I did double majors w/ a B.Arch on an accelerated schedule and were better for it. Suppose we were the exception, though. Neither of our second majors had anything to do w/ design (ostensibly).

Ouch, after that first post, better look into Feminist Studies.
