I made two versions of my portfolio for my M. Arch I applications - one Portrait and one Landscape and now I'm slightly unsure which to submit. Is there one preferred over the other? Is one more outdated than the other? Does it matter at all?
I don't think it matters. I went two 8.5 by 11 in portrait to form 11 by 17. My reasoning is for printing binding ease (saddle stitch). Also, if viewed on screen, the spread is at maximum zoom and fills the screen.
