voyager began as a 1500 square foot storage garage, with nothing more than a 4 walls and a roof.

over the course of 15 months, it became a beacon for fernadale's continued development east of woodward. 8 months of heavy design transitioned into 7 months of construction. 

as a full-service design-build firm, we handled the project from napkin sketch all the way through construction; framing, painting, and building countless custom details. 

the overall modern aesthetic is accentuated through rhythmic wood panels, minimal moments with punches of color, subtle rounded corners, and brass details throughout; the scandinavian presence nods to nautical overtures, without being kitsch.

on march 16th, 2017 voyager quietly opened it's doors to the public after much anticipation. the full-service, seafood-centric restaurant features a raw bar as well as a variety of seasonal offering. voyager is five/eighths' first collaboration with restaurateur eli boyer.
