House C is a 2 family home residential renovation project. The existing galley kitchen is renovated and become a corridor to the basement floor where two new bathrooms are planned to the currently unfinished basement floor. The new stair to the basement becomes an intersection of movement and visual axis aligned rear yards, views to streets and side yard. The basement floor is lowered to increase the ceiling height. A strategy was developed with structural engineer to dig the basement floor without disturbing the existing foundation
