This project is the renovation and expansion of Hudson River HealthCare, a not-for-profit federally-qualified health center providing comprehensive primary, dental, preventative, and behavioral health services to all who seek it, regardless of insurance status and ability to pay. Hudson River HealthCare’s Peekskill facility was housed in a 1939 building with serious deficiencies, utilizing every square inch of its 24,000 s.f. area.  This project renovates the three-story existing structure (1037 Main Street) as well as an adjacent one-story former Service Station (55 Bank Street), both owned by HRHCare, and inserts a 5,200 s.f. new building between the two existing structures.  The design scheme creates a cohesive facility from these three components while enhancing connections with the surrounding community.
