The New Stanford Hospital and Clinics will replace the existing main Stanford Hospital on an adjacent 12 acre site. The new hospital, designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, will accommodate 600 patient beds. The GLS scope of work encompasses all areas outside the building footprint, including campus promenade, courtyards, hospital forecourt, fountains and service areas, as well as extensive 3rd floor roof gardens for patients, family and staff, including a fitness center and a conference center. The two main ground level spaces are the Entry and Drop-off Plaza and the Orchard of Medicinal Trees, which is the gateway symbol for the new hospital.
