"New Fire Station 10 opened in January 2005 on Wilkinson Blvd.  The previous location was opened in 1957 at 2136 Remount Rd.   Station 10, known as "The Rock", protects West Charlotte around Wilkinson Boulevard. Engine 10's area includes mostly commercial and manufacturing occupancies along with single and multi-family residences. Rescue 10 responds to Downtown, West Charlotte, and North Charlotte."
