MCM has reimagined the modern office with Havas UK’s award-winning headquarters at London’s Pancras Square House. The new scheme has won the regional British Council for Offices (BCO) “Best Fit Out of Workplace” Award 2018.

The complex design and extensive renovations included: 10 new staircases, arranged in a way that no stair connects more than two floors at one place, which directs the flow of people through shared common areas; a dynamic, 200-person auditorium dubbed The Forum; as well as open-plan working areas.

MCM's Design Director, Sean Hatcher says: "[Havas] wanted the design itself to connect people throughout the building to make these chance meetings—these collisions—happen. So we created the Havas Vertical Village: a new Havas creative community within a building that moves, meets and enjoys each other’s company within a series of civic spaces, like a village. People are proud of the space; it gives them a buzz."

With this project, MCM has won the BCO Awards for best office for the third year running.
