MCM's design for Estée Lauder Companies offices at One Fitzroy sets a new benchmark for innovation, flexibility and integration of technology in the workplace.
The building brings over 25 premium brands together under one roof, while allowing each individual brand identity to sing. This is achieved through the concept of creating ‘brand hubs,’ where dedicated brand spaces express the essence of each of brand personality. MCM designed spaces around technology, where areas can be rebranded at the touch of a button.
Previously, the company was located in five buildings across the West End and did not support the collaborative working ethic very effectively. Now, flexibility is key. Shared spaces are maximised with concealed cupboards that slide across to reveal a different brand’s product displays and digital signage that enable the space to transform from one brand to another.
Visitors and staff are greeted by a spacious and light-filled reception space, where a striking gold staircase is suspended elegantly from above. Staff from different brands have particular QR codes, that allow them access to certain entrances of the building, as each brand has their own dedicated entrance.
