This is one storey free-standing building. Its volumetric configuration meets a clear program of needs which organizes building use into two different volumes that separate two main working areas. Therefore, a grouping of applications was suggested so that the overall management of building would be as clear as possible: a building organization in two distinct but united clear parts where each one assumes a specific function. An L-shaped piece unites the most public uses of the centre such as multi-purpose room and the open outdoor patio. The uses of services and offices are configured as a separation between the spaces of the School (classrooms, halls, etc.). The other volume of parallelepiped geometry organizes classroom spaces, toilets and rest areas. It embeds into the L shaped piece thus creating a space between which can be used for movement among different areas.
This obtains an L-shaped volume, gradually becoming U-shaped when it integrates in the outdoor pergola. It is restrained by joint façade which closes the building by outside and opens it into a central space from where the playground and other recreational areas for children are organized. Nursery school considers the use of outdoor spaces as a very important part of school life development.
The classrooms have a direct connection with outside, with a large outdoor patio; therefore they are visually connected through large glass windows, which besides give direct natural light and ventilation. A covered patio is used as an extension of multi-purpose room thus enabling the recreation of children regardless of the weather.
