Rajasthan Boarding School

Known as the land of kings and color, the Rajasthan region of northern India is home to an exuberant collection of palaces of stark geometry, sieving lattices of intricate patterns and evoking landscapes. This convergence of architecture and desert makes Rajasthan one of the most striking experiences of India.

Since the 6th century CE, the Meenas, Rajputs, Yadavs, Jats, Bhils, Gurjars and Bishnois tribes developed into a collection of small kingdoms that built palaces to provide protection from invaders and ensure the continuation of their rich traditions. Today these palaces connect the ancient past with modern day society, creating a distinctive architectural landscape not found anywhere else in the world.

The design for the Boarding School for Girls draws its inspiration from these majestic palaces, from its monumental circulation paths, its sunbathed hierarchic proportions and the peaceful geometric patios which provide a perfect and serene environment for students, faculty and visitors.

Divided into three parts, Learn, Live and Play, the program approaches learning holistically, with 64 of the total 103 acres dedicated to social and sports activities. The rest of the campus is comprised of academic and residential facilities.
