Diller, Scofidio + Renfro together with with Turner Construction Company, hired our team to produce the first concert hall wall mock-up. Utilizing the design team’s surface model we effectively engineered a system for fabricating and hanging the wood veneer panels to a structure with a cavity that allowed for the management and maintenance of the system.

AWI provided Design Development assistance for the illuminated walls and the ceiling panels, including veneer sourcing and selection, resolving issues involved with applying a natural wood veneer to a doubly-curved surface, and producing a full-scale mockup that was installed on-site for final owner approval.
