Tomioka station is the gateway of Tomioka silk mill, which is on the process of being registered as world heritage. This proposal is inspired by the unique structural system of Tomioka silk mill and creates canopy to emphasize the entering point to the world heritage. The canopy is composed by wood frame with tensioned member that is also play as louvers. The surface of canopy is utilized three different kinds of glass: High-reflection, clear and PV cell laminated.
