Bruciato

Just a brief ferry journey across Puget Sound from Seattle lies Bruciato, the pizzeria and bar crafted by James Beard Award-nominated Chef Brendan McGill. The restaurant occupies a 2,275-square-foot space that originally served as a hardware store. During the renovation process, the interiors underwent a transformation, with a focus on revealing the inherent beauty of the exposed bowstring trusses, the unadorned wooden ceiling, and the rugged concrete floor. Introducing white-painted walls and a restrained selection of materials, the design aimed to establish a straightforward backdrop for an assorted collection of repurposed furnishings and objects. Together, these organic elements weave a narrative that reflects the wood-fired pizzeria's refined farm-to-table philosophy, unwavering commitment to the Neapolitan standard, and the authenticity of traditional cuisine.
