Supercell San Francisco

Founded on four core beliefs – independence, responsibility, quality, and learning – Supercell has thrived by building its environment, culture, and market success around its talent. To better support its employees, the company determined to make its new 16,000-square-foot headquarters comfortable and home-like, which in turn would set it apart from its Bay Area competitors.

The distribution of various spaces deliberately tracks the movement of light throughout the office, culminating in a karaoke bar for the setting sun. The company’s Finnish roots are reflected through clean, spare lines, the attention to functional design, and in the furniture. Hand-sanded, stainless steel mirrors pay homage to San Francisco’s ubiquitous fog. Wall paneling details resemble a boat cleat, a nod to Supercell’s global offices, all located in port cities. The level of detail reinforces the company’s ethos to excel in one’s craft.
