In the heart of Vienna, it has been recently added a new structure on the top of a historic building. We are in Mariahilf quartier, one of the coolest neighborhoods, very close to one of the most popular thoroughfares of the city with art and interior design galleries, cafes, pubs and eateries of every sort and especially the Naschmarkt, the famous market, certainly a must. The project was directed by the young architectural firm FADD Architects who was responsible of the creative direction and interior design project manager. The architecture studio has worked in partnership with local companies and artisans for custom furniture, interior design showrooms and art gallery for installations of works inside the apartments. The rooftop extension generated 3 apartments with different size, 190/170 sqm, both with terraces and with swimming pool, and 90 sqm with balcony. This three luxury apartments, each of them impeccably decorated, are currently still on market for mind-boggling figures. We are talking about splendid luxury yet not ostentatious with great attention paid to materials and colors, creating a space with a natural and welcoming elegance. The two larger apartments have all the comforts that you can imagine, from Gaggenau kitchen appliances to a real mini spa. For the top 11 (170 sqm), the architects designed a bespoke sauna with restful colours, with cedar wood and light grey finishes, to give maximum relaxation after a busy day. Instead, for the top 13 (190 sqm), was tacked to a spectacular hammer with seat covered in white natural stone under a vault illuminated by LEDs. All three apartments joined the open space typology: the Varenna Coliform kitchen, for the top 13/12, with the grey oak wood finish, becomes a scenic backdrop to white walls and minimal living. This is even more accentuated in the top 13, where the italians architects have cleverly used the same finish to conceal the door leading to the interior staircase, the same finishing turns to cover the facade door of the fireplace, also designed by the architects using a well made contrast: black iron and raw concrete. The result is a perfectly balanced and elegant enviroment. The terrace with teak floor, outdoor kitchen and pool, give the final touch for take the best of spring and summer.
