This residence uses the formal and material vocabulary of the Coal Breaker House to give it historical and regional allusion. The formal vocabulary of the breaker is expressed with cascading shed volumes supported by exposed structure. The material vocabulary stays true to the vertical wood siding, corrugated metal and heavy timber beams that composed the majority of the breaker houses.  .
