99 John Street Lounge

This project is the gut renovation of a building office on the fourth floor of a residential building in lower Manhattan. The new 2000 square foot lounge was created as a building amenity for the residents of the building. The design provides interconnected spaces which provide areas for socializing, watching large screen television, sitting by a fireplace and playing pool. In addition, a stair was designed to connect the lounge with the large planted terrace above. The upper level of the stair was designed as a glass and stone box which opens up to the landscape around it and brings natural light into lounge below.
