House No. 5 is an existing structure located in the hollywood hills. The home was re-conceptualized to take advantage of the panoramic view from downtown to the ocean and its unique position on the hillside. The existing structure is wrapped in a metal veil that re-organizes the interior and exterior elements to allow for a layering of spaces while framing views out of the home. This layering blurs boundaries between interior and exterior rooms extending the inner spaces out onto the terraces and balconies; offering a variety of shade, exposure, and view.
