JEHT Foundation

The JEHT foundation (Justice Equality Humanity Tolerance) provided grants for those looking to provide legal and other services to, among others, the unjustly incarcerated. For example, The Innocence Project, helping those accused of crime prove their innocence with DNA analysis, receives funding from the JEHT foundation.

When the foundation needed to expand we created a flexible space for large scale events: meetings, symposia, board gatherings, receptions, panel discussions and presentations were all part of the program for the 5,000 additional square feet.

Our addition sets up a display of period photographs on a gallery wall concealing storage and other meeting equipment.  The loft space, a former gallery, was subtly divided by floating partitions and furniture on wheels to create the most usable flex space possible. Custom furniture using slabs of cork created lightweight, tactile and quiet furniture.

Combined with the original offices the JEHT foundation occupied 10,000 square feet on Wooster Street in Soho.
