Laufs Engineering Design (LED) is a structural engineering consultancy with a focus on façade engineering, glass, and specialty design. We believe in the unity of architecture, sustainability and structural engineering, focusing towards one single integrated design approach.

A structure can never stand independently from its cultural context. It is not stability bracing we deliver, but establishing space. In that sense, engineering first and foremost can be understood as an expressive contribution to our cities and the environment we live in.

While we embrace the use of new materials, complex geometry and most up-to-date three- dimensional software, we understand such technology as a tool, not as content in itself.

We work globally. Both urgent contemporary questions as well as a true joy for design exchange is best informed by an international platform of backgrounds, work and education. LED is limitless in its search of form-finding, detailing and identity of space.
