FSFA's work is particularly renowned for its sensitive designs in historic districts such as Bristol, Newport and Providence in Rhode Island as well as Washington, CD. 

The winning design for the World War II Memorial in Washington, DC, the result of a national competition, is the firm's most visible work to date. It adds an entirely new type to Washington's unique memorial landscape. It celebrates the triumph of democracy in the mid 20th century while enriching the lives of those who visit. 

Current projects include the American Farmer's Museum & Education Center in Blissfield, Michigan and the Jovial Foods Headquarters at Randall Farm in North Stonington, Connecticut. 

Friedrich St.Florian Architects won numerous design awards for its completed buildings and several prizes in national and international design competitions, including a 2nd prize in the George Pompidou Center competition in Paris.
