The Robbrecht and Daem architecten agency was founded in 1975  Paul Robbrecht en Hilde Daem and has completed a diverse range of projects over a period of more than 30 years.

The theme throughout their work is the relationship that they maintain between their architectural designs and the visual arts. They have also designed buildings to be used for performing arts and music. Even the scientific-technical designs they have made, such as the laboratories, juxtapose the building with contemporary art.
