Vittorio Grassi is founder and principal of Vittorio Grassi Architetto & Partners.
The firm, founded in 2005, is composed by a team of professionals from different nationalities operating mainly in the Milan office.
Vittorio Grassi Architect & Partners designs and develops a variety of projects ranging from large to small scale, from urban planning to the design of cultural and exhibition buildings, passing trough tourism and residential complexes, office and shopping premises up to industrial and interior design.
The studio is currently committed to the construction of the 5,000 seats Sports Hall within the Sports City Masterplan in Lamezia Terme and the design of the Military Citadel of Cecchignola in Rome, an investment of 120 million Euros for a new neighbourhood with 720 new apartments, retail, services and a public park dedicated to soldiers and their families. Both projects result from international competitions won in 2010 and 2011.
In 2013 and 2014 the studio won three prestigious international competitions. In Russia it has been awarded with the planning and redevelopment project of ZIM (former industrial site Maslennikov) in Samara that designs a new neighbourhood of 13,000 inhabitants, 730,000 m2 of new buildings. In Yakutsk, Russian Federation Republic of Yakutia, the studio has been awarded with the Olonkholand Complex Masteplan project that designs a vast cultural centre, hi-tech residences and offices.
In Italy it won the international competition for the recovery of the Velodrome Maspes - Vigorelli launched by the Municipality of Milan. The project, winner amongst 105 participants, creates a multi-events arena for 5,570 spectators in the heart of Milan, reinterpreting the historic building in a contemporary way as a sports specific venue.
In the end of 2014 the studio completed the renovation of the historic flagship branch of BNL Bank and of the new prestigious museum of Galleria Sabauda in the new wing of the Royal Palace. Both projects are located in Turin, Italy.
