SHIFTVIEW architecture’s mother companies Arquitectura y Tecnología Integrada, SLP and Ateqma Arquitectura, SLP were founded in Madrid in 1996. Both Spanish companies decided in 2009 to establish the brand SHIFTVIEW architecture to promote their architectural services in the foreign markets.
The company partners Marina Carpio Pérez, Alberto Fernández González, Luis García Martínez and Jorge Jareño Ibarra are all architects graduated in the Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid.
Since their graduation they worked in different fields such as public, industrial, commercial and landscape architecture, winning prices and mentions in many national and international competitions over the years.
Independently from the architectural typology, their work always takes into account the environmental issues to create sustainable designs based mainly in passive techniques.
Since the creation of SHIFTVIEW architecture, the office has been focused in exporting their expertise to the foreign markets. In 2009 they begun to research the Chinese market and in 2010 they begun to cooperate successfully with local firms mainly in landscaping and commercial projects. In 2011 they opened their first China office in the city of Chengdu and incorporated one of the few Spanish WFOE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) in the whole China and certainly the first and only in Western China.
SHIFTVIEW architecture is now working intensively in the Chinese market and will continue expanding their operation with a new China office in Suzhou that will open in 2012.
