SMA Tandem is an Oklahoma City-based architectural design firm committed to the delivery of patient focused healthcare design and facility solutions. The senior leadership of SMA Tandem includes principals, Roger Stephens and Bethany Jackson. Together, the principals of SMA Tandem represent more than 55 years of design and construction experience and have touched over $2 billion in construction.
Prior to the establishment of SMA Tandem, Mrs. Jackson, a registered Interior Designer in Oklahoma and Texas, was the managing principal of Tandem DesignStudio (TDS). During her time with TDS, she collaborated on multiple projects with the Dallas area architectural firm SM Architects, PLLC (SMA). SMA is owned and operated by Roger Stephens, AIA. The projects and relationships that were developed over a four year period by the two firms ultimately produced a merge of Tandem DesignStudio with SMA producing SMA Tandem, PLLC in January 2009. SMA is set up as a Native American Owned, Hubzone architecture firm. Together, SMA and SMAT operate as one firm focusing on current government projects in Dallas, Texas and building relationships in the Oklahoma area.
