Zakrzewski + Hyde Architects is a full service architecture and design firm that draws upon the varied experiences of each of it’s principals. Mr. Zakrzewski has been licensed in the state of New York since 2000 and became a LEED AP professional in 2008 and a certified passive house designer in 2011. Ms. Hyde has been licensed in the state of New York since 2000 and is NCARB certified.
We are committed to helping our clients through the design and construction processes. We provide both 3-d visual aids and 2-d drawings/written specifications for each project to communicate the full design intent. We have a strong relationship with a variety of engineers and consultants and when necessary, we will retain and co-ordinate the work of these design professionals.
Since it’s establishment in 2002, Zakrzewski + Hyde Architects has received profession acknowledgement of it’s work. The new mixed use building at 304 Spring Street was awarded a special mention in the AAI 2009 Awards in Ireland and an Award of Merit from the 2009 SARA/NY Design Awards. Their urban design proposal for Envisioning Hudson Square won both a 2008 AIANY Honor Award in the Urban Design category as well as a 2008 AIANY Merit award in the project category. In 2006 Z+ H received the recognition of both an Honorable Mention in the 2006 AIANY Awards Program fort the ArtBox and was also selected as one of the 6 firms recognized by the AIANY chapter in the exhibition “New Practices New York: Six Young Firms Set Themselves Apart”. In September of 2006, The New York Times invited them to be profiled in “Sketch Pad” a monthly feature in the Real Estate section. Z+H’s projects have been published widely including the New York Times, Elle Décor, Architect’s Newspaper and Young Architects Americas.
