Richard McElhiney AIA founded the firm in 2002.

Our focus is new construction, renovation, and adaptive re-use projects for Educational, Civic, Commercial, and Residential clients.

Our objective is the creation of projects which are clear in concept and detail, which serve their users well, which are well-made and which are realized with an economy of means.

Our process is characterized by questioning, listening and understanding our clients’ needs and aspirations.  We seek to discover– in close collaboration with our clients– the best design which serves all their objectives.  We then realize the design with aesthetic intent, with technical rigor and with conservation of resources.  The entire process is guided by the continuous and substantive involvement of our principal.

We achieve these intentions in many roles: as prime architects, as design architects, as specialized consultants, and as owners’ representatives.
