CANY Technical Services LLC and CANY Architecture & Engineering DPC, (collectively “CANY”)  is a growing organization that provides investigation, design consultation and inspection services to Owners, Developers, Architects, Building Management Firms, Contractors, Manufacturers and less specialized consultants in the development and repairs/restoration of exterior building enclosure systems to include roofing systems, curtain walls, masonry restoration, foundation waterproofing, sidewalk reconstruction, vault repair, and general waterproofing details within the building envelope.

On new construction projects, we prepare / review details and specifications for the Owner, Architect, CM or GC to insure the proper interface, performance and function of the various components of the building enclosure.  We observe mock-up erection/testing and field-testing including onsite spray-rack and chamber tests. Our experienced field personnel monitor job progress, inspect and photograph work and prepare reports for review by the project design professional(s) and Owner. In full compliance with the requirements of local building codes, we provide Quality Assurance / Quality Control and Special Inspection Services to Owners, engineers and architects. CANY Architecture and Engineering DPC is an IAS-accredited NYC Special Inspection Agency for Curtainwall/Panel-wall, EIFS, Structural Stability / Safety and Masonry.

On existing buildings, CANY provides a host of services related to building enclosures and the NYC Façade Inspection and Safety Program (Local Law 11-98). We cover all exterior conditions from the foundation to the roof to determine the cause(s) of water infiltration and related deterioration of critical facade and roofing components. We then prepare cost estimates, required details and specifications to facilitate effective solicitation of competitive bids from qualified contractors for the correction of deficiencies. We provide inspection of required repair work to ensure compliance with project documents and applicable codes. All building enclosure-related structural investigation / design, special inspection approvals, certifications, oversight and sign-offs are performed CANY Architecture and Engineering DPC
