Founded in 1940, Perez has grown into a national company with international reach. We are a 100% Woman and Minority owned, multidisciplinary firm providing a full range of in-house services including architecture, design-build, construction, landscape architecture, planning, interior design, and real estate development. Our depth of service offerings is complemented by 11 national offices on the Gulf Coast, West Coast, East Coast, and Midwest, and a diverse portfolio of experience, which spans nearly every building and project type imaginable.
Currently, Perez seeks talented people to assist coastal communities in the New York metropolitan area in their recovery from Hurricane Sandy. These positions pose extraordinary opportunities for creative, pragmatic, experienced individuals to improve the lives of thousands of New Yorkers. Most positions offer opportunities to serve as the public face of the projects and offer exceptional degrees of interface with homeowners, as well as contractors and the client.
Perez has been under contract since 2013 with the New York City Build it Back program and anticipates additional contracts with other public agencies. The mission of the Build it Back program is to restore hurricane-damaged homes to full functionality and greater resilience to extreme climate conditions. Under this contract, Perez has completed scoping for the rehabilitation of more than 800 homes in New York City. Additional contracts are expected to expand this work to include rehabilitation, elevation, and reconstruction of thousands of homes in the coastal areas of New York City and Long Island, the goal being that living areas and essential building systems be better protected from future floods.
