Institution: Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) , an Archinect Partner School, in Los Angeles, CA
Dates: July 1 – August 2
Details: "Open to creative individuals, inspired professionals, and current college students and graduates, Making+Meaning is a four-week career exploration and portfolio building summer studio program that introduces students to architectural experimentation and transformative design techniques in a unique and lively studio setting. Making+Meaning exposes participants to a wide range of tools and techniques that integrate digital representation, architectural design, and fabrication methods, culminating in a public exhibition where students present their design work and receive feedback from noted architects and design professionals."
Institution: Tulane University School of Architecture , an Archinect Partner School, in New Orleans, LA
Dates: Three studios/courses held over June, July, and August (June 3 – July 3; July 8 – August 5; and July 8–2)
Details: "The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) summer term is structured for incoming graduate students with minimal or no previous architectural education. This professional degree program is the primary venue for cultivating the critical design practices at Tulane School of Architecture. The program builds on the professional expertise of our faculty and their commitment to an equitable, diverse and inclusive environment. It is a NAAB accredited program, fulfilling the professional degree requirements leading to architectural licensing and registration. The School of Architecture is still accepting applications for this and all graduate programs."

Details: "Summer [In]stitute is a fast track to launching your environmental design career. Explore the methods and theories driving the field, experience the culture of design and planning studios, and develop a portfolio for job and graduate school applications with the expert guidance of faculty mentors. Each program includes a lecture series, a design or planning studio, media workshops, and site visits. Choose from three different foundational programs — [IN]ARCH, [IN]CITY, [IN]LAND — and jump-start your future in architecture, city planning, or landscape architecture. These post-baccalaureate programs are geared toward young professionals who are eager to explore career options in environmental design and are seeking to build a portfolio for graduate school. After fulfilling the program requirements, you'll receive a certificate of completion and credit on an official UC Berkeley transcript. All classes are held in Bauer Wurster Hall, CED's home on the UC Berkeley campus. International students are welcome and encouraged to apply. No previous design experience is required."
