Circular renovation of a house and office

After 40 years of use this house with office in De Moer needed a makeover, a circular renovation. The roof needed to be replaces because of asbestos corrugated sheets. The steel windows were uninsulated and filled with double glass which was leaking.  To meet the requirements of 2022 an energy label C is mandatory. In 2030 a energy label A is required.

A perfect moment to make a sustainable renovation. At first we research a replacement of all windows by isolated aluminum windows.  This proofed a expensive option, also due to restoration on the inside. This way the idea was created to keep the current steel window frames.  This circular idee led to an upgrade trough a redesign of the original Jansen profile. ReUse of the existing window frame. In cooperation with Jansen the details were made. Thus providing a solution for triple glass and frame which was applicable for subsidy.  Not only is this a big step for circular steel window frames it is also a big step in the energy transition.
