Samui is an island that has flexibility living and popular island for foreigners by visit statistic. Both short and long term living are popular in Southeast Asia region. Real estate development is growing on this island such as residence, hotel and resort but would be more at coastal than foothills area.

         The Samui coastal foothills Residence is located on a steep hillside area and getting a chance of view for each unit to the crystal bay in front of the site. The purpose of this project is to build a long rental place for visitors and marketing key is a possibility to see natural scene both on internal and external sight. 

        Another important purpose of this project is the drainage system, which laid down in the middle of the site, is designed to blend in with other functional area and circulation. Samui island is in the monsoon so all vegetation can be restored by design and approach, controlled humid by narrow space between building. A rain garden is placed along circulation for making identity landscape stair.

       The contrastivity concept is between architecture and surrounding nature such as mountain, plain and sea. Remained the natural ingestion concept to architecture for the abiding living.
